My husband and I loved our stay at Brookby Ridge Cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated and felt like home. Everything it was equipped with was outstanding. It had a fancy Espresso Machine and an outstanding shower. I think they may have called it a Tardis, but not sure. The kitchen had every implement possible and was super well equipped. The cottage was as neat as a pin and very clean.
We loved the view down to Brancott Estate Vineyard from our balcony. We were lucky enough to have harvest start while we were still there. It was fun to watch.
After I booked the cottage, I was wondering if it was kind of far away from where we wanted to be. I’m happy to say that Brookby Ridge Cottage was right in the middle of all the places we wanted to be. We couldn’t ask for a better location.
Thanks to Mary-Jo and Richard for being such great hosts! They were great with communication and help with our stay.
What a view from this lovely cottage. You look out over the vineyards & it is so quiet . Its not far to Picton from Brookby & many cellar doors are just a 5min drive up the road. The Omaka Aviation Museum nearby is well worth a look.Would definitely recommend this Cottage to stay at. Loved the dogs coming up for a visit every day to say hello.
We had a lovely week in Brookby Ridge. The cottage has a lovely aspect looking across Brancott Estate vineyards, to Cloudy Bay and Cooks Strait in the distance. Well equipped, with a very fancy shower! Great tips from Mary Jo and Richard on vineyards and restaurants. Cosy and quiet, we would definitely stay again.
We had a very nice stay at Brookby cottage. The location was perfect, very close to the airport and not far from town either.
It was very quiet and private, with great views from the veranda down over the valley, and it was a nice way to start the day after preparing a good breakfast in the well stocked kitchen.
As well as meeting the nice hosts operating the property we also had the pleasure of the well behaved and friendly dogs popping down for a visit whenever we called out to them.
We made good use of the log burner on one night, as it was a bit unseasonably cold, and that warmed the cottage well.
We found this a very good base for our weekends exploration and would definitely use again next time in Blenheim.
One of our favourite places we stayed in New Zealand. Very comfortable, well located and equipped, with lovely views over Brancott Estate next door from the sunny terrace. If it gets too hot, there is the deck on the other side to relax on.
The owners told us they lived here themselves for several months while the main house was being built so it was furnished and equipped to a high standard for them.
Very quiet peaceful location but close to all the vineyards and Renwick. We enjoyed the barbecue after a busy day touring the vineyards.
Booking with Mary-Jo was easy and she and Richard were very welcoming and helpful. The dogs were very friendly too!
We have no hesitation in highly recommending this Cottage as a great place to stay when visiting Marlborough!
This is lovely cottage set high above the vineyards. It was a great base for our four day exploration of Marlborough. We enjoyed the opportunity to have some great home-cooked meals with the BBQ and then just sit and savour a glass of wine on the balcony while watching the falcons fly down below. Mary-Jo and Richard were great hosts and we appreciated their suggestions for outings. Our wine tour was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the green mussel cruise. This is a great location for touring and close to the ferry in Picton.
The cottage is so relaxing and charming. Mary Jo and Richard are such great hosts as well as Brookby, looking for some attention ....
We were sorry to leave, but we will be back!
