Quality Hotel Wellington

I have been critical about two things about this hotel.

Firstly, there was a problem with no shower doors (for several years) - but this now seems to have been fixed.

Secondly - there is a lot of light let into the rooms around the edges of the curtains - mainly at the top of them. This would be a good project to tackle next.

I stayed in room 353 on this last stay. There was a very loud fan/airconditioning type sound that happened every now and then and ran for 20mins or so. No idea what it was. Thank goodness I had earplugs with me.

The restaurant I have decided is diabolical. It was farcical watching them get the neighbouring tables meal requests totally mucked up. And we had plenty of time to watch. It took 1:45hrs to get served 2 courses in a restaurant that never had more than 4 tables full.

The free internet was very welcomed.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms overlooking the lift areas in the adjacent Wellington Apartments.

There is nothing i can think of that is bad about this place. We were in room 453 and it had everything i needed and more besides. Very comfortable. LOVED IT.. Am going back again!!!
Pool was lovely and warm. They provide eco friendly shampoo and conditioner and bodywash. Food from the restaurant was fantastic. I had the chicken bagel and chips - soooooo yummy.

Room Tip: pay more for the nicer rooms like 453 :)

A decent 3 night stay in Wellington, a city I did not know. No problems at all with the huge room. Cuba Street is central, and full of students from Vic Uni and all sorts of people. Lots of eating and shops close by. I am unsure if the internet is free or not - I put in a password and thought I would be charged, but unsure since somebody else paid the tab. No minibar menu (the folder was there, but nothing in it) , so I got charged for that stuff without realising what was free (the hot drinks and biscuits, I now think). Standard checkout of 11am was handy. Breakfast was excellent although glad it was not me who paid.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Quality Hotel. Front desk staff was very pleasant and seemed genuinely keen to learn about our plans in city.

Me and a work colleague shared the executive two bedroom apartment. It is very spacious and we'll appointed. And extremely good value for money for all the space you get.

After years of travel to the big city we always have been utterly disappointed with poor run down accommodation options in wellington.

Which is definitely not the case with this hotel. It is very well presented and I would highly recommend it. It's got paid parking options which are easily accessible.

Only criticism would be the shower. It is very poorly designed which results in whole floor being flooded in bathroom which is absolutely disgusting to walk around in.

Location was great and room was reasonably ok. Swimming pool facilities were not so clean unfortunately and as this was a plus extra to stay, we never returned as it felt "dirty". Staff were very friendly and helpful and restaurant provided good food

We were lucky enough to get a deluxe suite and were really impressed. Very modern quiet room even though was facing Cuba street. For the price compared to other places we have stayed in Wellington we thought we got value for money. Very nice in room dining menu ordered by online compendium tablet in room . Will stay again when next in Wellington .

We are currently staying at the 'Quality' hotel as it has a kitchenette, we thought this would save us money as we have two children with us. I find it amazing they sell the room like this. We have one small frying pan, no sharp knifes, washing up liquid was not replenished asked for more, about two hours ago and still waiting. We asked for a pot yesterday, one finally arrived tonight, after we had cooked.

When we checked in, we knew we were early, the woman on checkin explained we would have to wait and store our bags, no problems with this. After we emptied our car and went back to reception the guy now at the desk gave us another room that was ready, too hard for the first person!! We signed up to their loyalty card, discounts etc and a free newspaper in the morning, still waiting, no sign of that today.

In general, the kitchenette is not good enough to cook a basic meal for a family (which is why we booked this room) and customer service is hit and miss. The rooms are spacious and clean, however probably won't come back.
