Great food. Great service. Great drinks. Very pricey, but worth every cent.... tried the pork belly. It amazing. Best thing I have ever had. Ive eaten at most of Sydneys 3 hat restaurant. And this food was the best. ..

“Very good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Everything about this place says it is going to be regrettable: the long uninviting entrance, the dark bar and the 60s décor. Some reviewers say it is iconic. The food is however superb and the service is excellent.

“Excellent cocktails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Went there on the recommendation of a friend last August. Maybe it was the aftermath of a lively earthquake that day or perhaps one too many of their excellent beverages, but I had one of the best nights of my none-too short life in this place. Pricey, yes, but service, quality and atmosphere were worth every penny. One quibble. Perhaps a little more light in the ladies might be called for..then again, probably for the better. Go there, bring your wallet, and let the good times roll. I'll be back next year!

“great atmosphere, massive choice of cocktails”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

A funky place to visit for dinner or drinks. Great atmosphere, low light, comfortable, mixed crowd. We had difficulty choosing a drink from the huge array on offer. Each one is individually crafted - it took a little time, but was well worth the wait. It's very entertaining watching the bar tenders work their magic. We didn't eat here, but the food looked amazing and we will be back to sample the menu.

“Just go there!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

I visited New Zealand with work in 2008 and I still to this day have fond memories of an incredible night at Matterhorn. Having travelled a lot, I find myself easily drawn back to the incredible little haven buried within this beautiful city. A cocktail followed a cocktail followed dinner and one of the most incredible nights of my life. Each course successively better than the last. Don't miss it...I know I do.
