Description: We have chosen to present some of the more characteristic, yet legendary dishes from North India, especially the Punjab. Our preparation makes our food beautiful to behold and addictive to the palate.

Great reliable curry spot, with friendly service. Great for parties or for smaller groups/couples. It's really reasonably priced and it's fantastic if you want to BYO wine, or there wine list is okay too. I always prefer this location over the Cuba St outlet.

Spent a great night out at the theatre and fancied a tasty bite before heading home. Came across Little India and the advertisement of Best Indian Restaurant Wellington. Disappointed to say the least, samosa's arrived cold and hard and had to be sent back, a shared mix platter for two was uninspiring and overpriced , some nice flavours but some of the meat was overcooked. Little or no atmosphere and when discussing our opinion with the staff they just smiled and said we know. Don't know who voted them the best or what year it was but the search for a consistently good Indian restaurant continues.

Visited this restaurant 22/03 and the evening started off well with an entree of Alcharri Tikka (fantastic), Onion Bhaji (tasty) and the lamb cutlets (ok). We were never offered another glass of wine or provided with more water. The main of Butter Chicken was grainy and quite dark and pronounced ordinary. My main of Rogan Josh was completely overwhelmed and spoiled by fragrant spices (which appeared to be cardamon, cinnamon and cloves) to the point whereit tasted medicinal so I left it after the first few mouthfuls. As there was no further service from any staff, who were busy setting up tables all around us, thumping chairs and tables, breaking glasses and dropping utensils we had had enough and complained at the register about the curries. The staff member just gaped when we conveyed our dissatisfaction and no apology or explanation was received and full price was paid. We were very disappointed and do not recommend this restaurant at all.

I quite enjoyed eating here, it had a great view and atmosphere, and i enjoyed my meal. I asked for my daal to be prepared quite hot, but even so, the spice wasn't as hot as i would have liked. My partner ordered the butter chicken and asked for mild, it was so mild and boring that it tasted like there wasn't a single spice in the whole dish.

We ate here about 8 yrs ago and we're not impressed. We had heard good reviewer recently, so gave it another go.
The food was great. Good authentic Indian dishes. It was a quiet night, there was a lack of atmosphere.
Very impressed.
