“Lives up to the hype.”

We finally made it here and had a great time. The menu is fun and varied, and the service was friendly and professional. Make sure you go next door to the Library Bar for dessert.

“Always a winner”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

After being overseas for over a year and a half, I was excited to come back to my fav restaurant. Chow didn't disappoint. Just the same fresh food, delicious flavours and great atmostphere. Can't wait to come back again.

“Great food, excellent consistency”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Love Chow. The food is great, the service is very good indeed, and you always know you're going to get a great meal as consistency is assured. I do wish they had a slightly better wine list, but that's just me. Always love it here, and cannot get through a visit without a plate of the salmon parcels (or two). Yes, it's not the cheapest way to eat Asian, but it's certainly one of the best. Good for families, too. Recommended.

“Disappointing experience”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

Out celebrating our annual Christmas lunch together (3 of us) we chose to go to Chow.

Their cocktail specials were not advertised clearly, we ordered from the menu, only to be told after our order was taken that the "two for one" deal only applied to certain cocktails, oh well......
We got a free cocktail in any case, as the waitress took down the wrong order!

Our entrees arrived at the same time as the mains, hmmmm, not the normal procedure, however up until now, we were still in a festive mood

The chicken parcels looked and tasted more like sausage meat, and when we queried this with the waiter, we were told matter of fact that it was chicken, the waiter did not consult the chef.

The mains were all good

Overall, our dining experience was not a pleasant one and needless to say, we won't be going back here in a hurry!

“Overpriced for what you get”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

We chose Chow as our friend is gluten intolerant and there appeared to be a good range that catered for gluten free needs. The menu is varied, however the portions are very small considering the hefty price for each one. The idea is to have tasting plates but at the price they are - it makes for an expensive meal and we left still feeling hungry. The food was relatively bland asian fusion fare in comparison with other similar restaurants we have sampled which was disappointing.
