We have visited this restaurant many times over many years and the quality of the food and service is second to none in Wellington. The BSB Classic steak is astounding and the wine choices are great. The ambiance is superb. They even have an ancient automatic shoe polisher in the loo!!

What could be wrong with fine service, excellant food, fine wine and good company. Well but for the last we found all the others in an intermit dinner last week. The food was great and fitted the ebb and flow of dinner conversation in a group for more then 8 people. Yes the night was more expensive than many budget places available in Wellington, but well worth the treat.

We went here for a special occassion dinner- they do not take bookings in the weekend but we able to grab a table. The food was nice but really pricey and we certainly werent blown away. the resturant was noisy and i had trouble having a conversation with my partner. the tables were in hot demand and I felt like I was be watched by those waiting for a table. will be going elsewhere next time

We live nearby on the Terrace and used to go to BSB way back in the day, and loved it then. Saw it was having its 20 years anniversary so my partner took me there for my birthday. We were not very impressed. Jammed into a small table, average food, but good, and quite pricey. Very noisy, and so so service. No. Not for us again.

Just came back from this restaurant. I had to visit there because of good reviews and not regretting it. :D
I tried the beetroot and vodka cured salmon as starter and it was very good. Fish of the day was fried snapped, beautifully cooked, What I was not expecting was the crispy skin which was not very crisp on all area. overall happy to give it 4 of 5. Love the table settings though, very cozy. Sorry for not good quality pictures, I forgot my camera on this trip :(
