“Amazing range of delicacies!”
Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

We dined here for brunch on a Saturday at 1130 & gosh it was busy. There was a queue out the door but plenty of seats. We had coffee & French toast / crepes & they were both great. The only down side was that it was the first visit & some more time to see a menu & choose would have been helpful with do many yummy options, plus all the treats in the cabinet!!!

“Terrible service, terrible food.”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

Went there today for what we thought would be a treat. Service at the counter was terrible, we were hurried and treated with disdain, server told us the kitchen was closing in 5 mins. So we ordered and then were told they might not be able to make our Croque Monsieurs- in the end they could. Server dished out the cake we order and broke it- offered to get us a new one only after i pointed out it was broken. Croques came, they were lukewarm. The water we asked for never arrived. Won't be going back- have never felt compelled to write a bad review before. We don't eat out much due to a tight budget so it is so disappointing to have had such a crap experience.

“What a disappointment!”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Last week I went to Bordeauxs recently opened offshoot in Newtown, Wellington. It was one of the worst cafe experiences I have had. Awful coffee - weak and not hot enough. I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel - thought it looked a little flat so looked under the top to find a miniscule slice of smoked salmon and, perhaps a teaspoon sized smear of cream cheese. The bagle was dry and tasteless.

This is a narrow, wedge shaped building with wooden floors. Every time the barrista banged the used coffee grounds on the edge of the bin it echoed round the cafe like gunfire. Wont be going back. There are plenty of options in Newtown and will try others.
