Stayed here for the weekend and was really pleased with our choice. The hotel is modern and the staff were very friendly helpful and it's a great central location near the waterfront and shops (near Parliament). The lifts are really quick up to the top floors which is always good. The room was very nice with a little balcony where you could access the free Wellington city wifi as the hotel charges. The bathroom was quite large and modern, very clean and bed was really comfortable. The room had a little kitchenette which was a surprise. The indoor pool and spa pool was also a nice space. Breakfast was expensive though, $29 for the cooked buffet and $24 for the continental so we did not eat there.

one night we had views of the beehive parliament building the next stay views of the harbour. the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. the staff were very friendly. definately value for money

Room Tip: if travelling with friends ensure you are all on the same floor as the elevator only goes to the floor your keycard is registered to- if you want to catch up in eachothers rooms, better views from higher floors eg 13 or 12.

The rooms were very comfortable and modern. Bathroom was light and airy and not poky like so many. There are good facilities for making coffee or a light snack which was a bonus.
A warning - don't get the room service - it was terrible. The food arrived in takeout containers, not like other hotels which serve it properly on a tray. My partners curry was disappointing and my pizza was the worst I've every had. It was like they had poured the sauces straight out of a jar and onto the pizza base then thrown sausage on the top - it had a chemical artificial taste and I threw the whole thing out. This put us off eating in the restaurant during the rest of our stay which was a shame.
I still gave it 5 stars because of the good room and the very pleasant staff. Everyone we had contact with was friendly and helpful. I believe when so many of the staff are like that then they must have good management. I will definitely stay there again.
