I have been visiting Staglands since the 90s and have witnessed its' growth. Even before I had children I loved to take all my out of town visitors to Staglands. When the kids arrived they started by watching everything from the safety of the backpack to hanging out with the friends as teens.
Staglands is a must on your next visit to the Wellington region. Very natural, very earthy, very enviro friendly. Take your time to stroll around the park. They have a rustic barn complete with bbq. Make that your base camp.
Favourites for the kids over the years have been the guinea pigs in the stall. The trolley on the railway track which leads to the hill which is a 'must climb' to the deer. They fondly remember riding 'Bob' the clydesdale. Playing in the confidence playground then swinging on the rope over the water. Choosing between the swingbridge or log to cross the river and finally the sitting in the wagon.
I recommend Staglands in rain, sun, flood, wind. It is always guaranteed fun.
In 20plus years I have never tired of visiting Staglands. The pace may have changed with the company from dawdling, running, strolling, etc but without a doubt there is something for everyone.
The review has asked what sort of attraction this is and when I visited. I think all of the selections are appropriate and I have been numerous times
