here's my little story in a letter to my Faith sharing Group (FSG) from St Ninians, Cape Town, RSA:
Dear Mary & my FSG family , (please pass it on, Mary) and my sister Natalie
I am well and safe back home., and I hope it goes well with you all, too.
I am now just about un-jetlagged (if that is a word J) , since I have been straight back to work the next day after returning from my holiday, so there was no rest for the wicked , as the proverbial saying goes. I have missed my weekly group meetings and I hope to join you all soon, again.
I have mentioned earlier to Mary about a beautiful old church in Wellington, which I accidently just ‘stumbled upon”. We were walking in the city centre and my friend pulled my arm and pointed at a distance away, across the road and said ‘look there..there is a Catholic church’. I just had to go over and see it. We crossed the road and went inside, and I have never seen such beauty and splendour. Surely, the house of God is palatial, as it should be. I went inside, and the presence of ‘holiness’ could be felt , it was so thick. I knelt down and just had a conversation with God, to thank him for all the blessings he has given me, every trial that he has held my hand and for all the people and friends in my life. I seriously prayed for my brother Mark, whom you all have carried in your prayers at our weekly sessions too. I lit a candle in the church for him, and for my departed loved ones.
I just want to share with you that I have just spoken to Mark a few minutes ago, and he informed me that he has received his last chemotherapy this week …and….. His cancer is gone!! . How AWESOME is our God! Thank you most sincerely, for your prayers, too!!
I have included a link or two from St Mary’s of the Angels, and I would like to share the same with you.
May your week be blessed!
With love and regards
