Ok lets do pluses and minuses:
Plus - this hotel is easy to find, central and clean. The bathroom was nice with good pressure in the shower.
Minus - this hotel is central, so between the boy racers tearing down the street in the middle of the night and the drunken louts screaming at the top of their voices after pub closing you don't get a lot of sleep. The rooms are TINY, cat swinging is definitely off the agenda, the TV is small, is attached to the wall barely above head height and has less channels than I got before freeview. One movie channel and one sports channel. The bathroom was nice, a bit dirty at the back of the toilet seat ( poor housekeeping) and the shower leaked so much I had to ask for extra towels to mop the floor. Made for a nice skating ring in the mornings. The fridge was so noisy we had to turn it off on the second night and the lift was making such a dodgy sound on our second day we decided to walk up and down the stairs. Breakfast was included in our price, it was small but perfectly formed. The coffee machine was broken and the only coffee we could get was the posh kind and they wanted to charge us extra for the privilage ( in their defence the front desk did waive this fee but I saw other people paying for coffee). The internet was intemittent and I had to get another password when the first one was not working.
For a quick cheap break it was ok. I booked through grabone and they were very helpful but its not up to our usual wellington hotels. Probably won't use it again.

Room Tip: ask for a twin room, i think they might be bigger than the double.

They say you can judge a hotel room by it's toilet paper, and in this case, it did the job but wasn't anything to write home about (the loo paper was the thin, recycled kind).
The location was very good. Literally a 5 minute walk and we were in the heart of Courtenay Place (eating central).
The parking garage is small and pokey, and its a little frustrating that you have phone the hotel (assuming you have a cellphone) whilst in your car so they can let you in. Then when exiting you need to get out of the car to push the button to open the door. Surely an automated swipe card system would make this a bit more 2013 friendly.
Our towels were replaced on day 2, but bed not made.
Toilet made noises long after it was flushed.
Being on a corner of a main street, the road noise was particularly noticeable at nightime.
Overall not a bad experience, and not bad value for money considering its central location. I think I'd be tempted to try elsewhere next time we visit Wellington though.

Is in a great location very close to Cuba St. Excellent secure covered parking but get in first as limited. Think $90 a weekend for public parking across road? Very small rooms but all you need. TV shocking reception but I should have said something. Two requests, an iron & more towels were met instantly. Basic hotel but all you need. $208 for two nights & parking

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room away from the road. Could hear air conditioner outside

We travel a lot and did not find a hotel like Trinity i.e. if you are sick or what have you and if you leave your room after 12, then your room will not be cleaned. The room was very small, the exhaust in the bathroom did not work that the bathroom steamed and made us sick with the heat. Haivng said that, the staff are pretty good.

My husband and I recenlty stayed two nights here and it was very nice indeed. The decor is very nice and not at all run down and shabby like some hotels can be once you actually see it in person. The reception staff are very friendly and polite and when we couldn't start our car the day we left, the guy at reception used his car to help us jump start it.
The room is average sized, don't expect it to be large as it is a bit deceiving in the photos. However, there was plenty of room for us and when we had a couple of guests there with us for a few hours, we were comfortable. The only one gripe is the shower door didn't close fully, but it was fine otherwise. The bed was very comfy also. There is a TV on the wall which enabled you the comfort of lying on the bed to watch.
We had a free breakfast with our booking and I was pleasantly suprised with how nice it was. I have been to cheaper places and the selection is very poor, but at the Eclipse restaurant at the Trinity Hotel you were given your breakfast (plated). This included fresh museli with yogurt, milk and fresh fruit, a fresh orange juice and two bits of toast with spreads. Basic but was very nicely presented and tasty.
The Trinity is in an excellent spot if you are wanting to just hang out in the city. We walked and walked around the city and had a great time visiting the numerous craft beer bars.
All in all the Trinity is highly recommended by me and I'm sure you wont be disappointed with your stay either.

Room Tip: If you keep your window shut at night you wont get disturbed by the noise outside. Generally it was...

Lets be real: it is not 5 star nor deluxe but it is conveniently located to Cuba St for cheap eats and cafes, close the the museums and shopping.
It is clean and whilst not sparkling new is well maintained. It is a little noisy but not a big deal. For the price I paid at discount it was great value. I paid more for pretty ordinary motels in the eats coast!
Would I use it again: yes.

Room Tip: Take a look at it; dont expect deluxe and it will be good for you.
