There is not much to say on this one really. It is much like a tram/tube carriage but it is in excellent condition and surprisingly clean for something that gets used so frequently. After a few stops and a short journey you get access to the botanic gardens, cable car museum and observatory, among other things. You also get quite nice views of the city and the harbour. I have been on a similar attraction in Lyon and I have to say the one in Lyon is marginally more impressive, but again the New Zealand welcome makes this a winner. When I was on the cable car there was a young kid there with his mother. The driver really engaged with them and allowed the kid to ring the bell, etc when pulling away from the stops. A nice touch I thought!
