“A large group of us from work booked the mezzanine area of 3C for a few get together drinks and a bite to eat. 3C is ideally situated on the corner of Chews Lane and Victoria street and presents a warm and cosy image, especially on a cold blustery late afternoon.
The mezzanine area was easy to see but not that easy to get to, however we were quickly sipping some of the beers and wines on offer. It was the usual range of drinks however there was no tap beer facilities upstairs so you had to journey up and down the stairs for those drinks. The selection of wines upstairs were not that great either, and the mezzanine area seemed to be an afterthought rather than a specially designed drinking area.
A really important part of the evening was the food platters we ordered to ensure that people were fed as well as watered. One plate duly arrived with about 4 meat balls nestling in a pool of strange looking sauce, several dim sims cut in half, a small piece of quiche cut into bite sized pieces and several other unappetising items. Not only was it one plate (amongst 15 hungry people), but they charged us $50 for it !!! We waited for the next plate assuming that there had to be more on offer, but all we hungrily stared at was a pile of napkins. In the end we ordered 3 large bowls of fries which were dropped on our table by a scowling staff member.
If you want to just enjoy a drink then 3C is ok. If you want to eat anything there with the drink, then forget it !! Our advice is to choose other options for a group drink, as there are plenty around.
