“Sausages or blocks or gold ?”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Like previous reviewers after purchasing some sausages I felt let down. I couldn’t believe the total for less than 1Kg of sausages came to $41.OO !!!…like, a prime eye fillet or the best lamb french cutlets are less than this.!!! When I got home and weighed the paper bag with sausages inside I was sure they had made a mistake. So a quick phone call was in order.
After confirming the price of each sausage per 100Gms then it was clear they hadn’t made a mistake. In their defence they said unlike supermarket sausages viz., all other sausages, they didn’t have fillers, additives etc etc.,

But they are still Sausages !!…and cooking them, the kitchen was covered in splatter from all the water and fat that oozed out….

So, last time I buy sausages for $43.00 odd a Kilo…..They are nice people, maybe have a cool little eatery for now but in the long run they have backed the wrong horse if their future is carved in trying to cream the boutique market of sausages…there is simply not the fat ( no pun) in the market to support it….

“No Vegetarians Here”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Gourmet Charcuterie where they salt, smoke and cure everything they sell on premises. They use all organic ingredients and pigs raised on an apple and pear orchard. It is like they are already seasoned! Choose from a large variety of flavored sausages, terrines, pates, hams, and more. You can eat in or take away to cook at home. During lunch time a must try is their pork sandwich. They have wine by the glass and beer on tap too! Owners Gabriel, the friendly guy who works the front of the house and Manni, the head chef have come up with a fabulous concept.

“Meat eaters paradise”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

This is a specialist meat vendor, self described as a "gourmet charcuterie". They prepare all their products on the premises finishing up with superb pates, sausages, bacons, meat patties and other preserved or prepared meats.
It is a light and aired cafe, well populated at lunchtime. They usually have a lunch special ( e.g. Pork sandwich). At any time you can get a meal based on the meat products that they retail.

This is a good place for lunch or pre-theatre meals.
