Chose to stay here to see the All Blacks game as it is a short walk to the stadium. Unfortunately like most Wellington hotels on these popular weekends they raise their prices astronomically and we had to pay about double the regular rate to get this convenient location.
Limited parking under the hotel and it was full when we booked so had to park in a public parking building nearby.
Nicely appointed room with plenty of space-they are various sizes in this hotel depending on where you are on the floor plan-some are small and poky others are quite large like the one we had this time. The hotel and this room genrally seemed to have had the colour scheme updated since our last visit. Nice bed and comfortable pillows.
Had dinner pre-match in the Vivant restaurant-had to book a table in advance and it was really busy-waited about 45mins for our steak mains to arrive-was OK but not an exciting meal and quite expensive for the portion size provided but it filled us up before the game. A table near the window is great to watch the endless stream of people heading towards the stadium.
Prompt check in and check out and freindly staff in both the restaurant and on the front desk.More
