“Beautiful and challenging”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

It will be recommended to take the cable car one way up the hill n
and walk down through the gardens, a minimum of 2.5 hours going down hill and steep. It was a challenge for me but made me proud I did it.

“come rain ro shine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

you can visit anytime
after all gardens need rain and there is a great tearoom/restaurant to shelter from the rain and look at the indoor displays
if you have the chance to visit in different seasons you can see the changes
located high above the city you wouldnt know you were in a capital

Lovely walk, well signed. Beautiful gardens set on a steep hillside. Good playpark for the kids too!

“Beautiful Garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

This garden is wonderful because it has nature trails that I enjoyed walking along for a walk. It also has beautiful planted gardens. The tulip garden is a must see in the spring and summer. The rose garden is beautiful as well and we enjoyed eating at the cafe in the rose garden on sunny afternoons.

“Cable car & colour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

After ascending the hill via the cable car, enjoy a wonderful walk through the botanic garden, back to the city. There's a great park for children in the middle and if the tulips are out prepare your senses for a colourful treat. If you live and work in Wellington, it's a great place for a stroll at lunchtime.
