Owner description: Free, one-hour guided tours of Parliament operate every day on the hour. Take a tour with one of our trained guides to visit key parts of Parliament's buildings and learn about our parliamentary processes, and have an insight in to New Zealand's history and culture. Tours operate seven days a week with the first tour at 10am, last tour 4pm. We recommend you arrive least 15 minutes before the tour departs as tour group sizes are limited and so you have time to check in your belongings. Everyone must leave their bags, coats, phones, cameras and other electronic devices in secure storage at the Visitor Centre in the Beehive. Individuals do not need to book. Groups of 10 or more are required to book their tour in advance. Specialist tours are avaiable on request but must be booked in advance.

My kids actually liked this tour - 1 hour without their phones - great.... Very informative and our tour guide was fabulous. The fact that the kids (16 and 13) still talk about it 2 mths later is good all round - a must while you are in Wellington - you might even meet a few of the law makers....

We never expected to be given what amounted to a private tour. It wasn't really something I thought I would like but we throughly enjoyed it. The architecture was of most interest to be rather than the actual history of parliament but getting to see what happened in some of the beautiful rooms was great. Well worth making the time for.

The tour of the Parliament buildings was well done and really interesting. One of the hits for us in our visit to the city.

It was fun to go take a look at New Zealands political centre. Looks very outdated and tired from outside close up, but glad we took the time to go visit.
