Must see! Gallipoli display is something NOT to be missed it was nothing short of AMAZING! The kids loved the Phar lap exhibit and the Māori section was fascinating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great coffee and gift shop to!

We enjoyed touring this museum. We learned about Maori heritage and influx of immigrants to New Zealand. It is amazing there is no entrance fee. I wonder if it was because it was Anzac day (April 25th), national holiday which is a day of remembrance for all New Zealanders who served all wars.

It was a beautiful sunny day and even had some minutes up in a deck in the museum to sunbathe.

This is an amazing museum. It was interactive, interesting and informative. There were several levels and topics. Would suggest allowing a good few hours to thoroughly investigate and enjoy it all. There is a cafe should you need to replenish yourself as well.
It's a very busy museum and it's easy to see why. And it's free!!

The new nature exhibition/display is great, although sad with so many species being listed as extinct or threatened. The only down side to the visit at Te Papa were some of the conference visitors - perhaps they need to be reminded they're in a public place.

We only really had time to go through the anzac war display and it was amazing. What an absolute credit to those who built this display..It was interactive. For all ages. The information was amazing and has given me even more appreciation for the anzacs. Ive come away with more knowledge and a bit more understanding of what they went through. This is a must do..
