I live in Wellington and try and visit Te Papa at least twice a year (especially with the great exhibitions that visit from time to time). Most recently I went to see the Terracotta Warriors from China which was so amazing. I visited the day after the shootings in Christchurch and was struck by how Te Papa embodied the values of New Zealand - there were so many people from all nationalities in the one place sharing their experience of the New Zealand culture and I was very proud. We are one.
I've also seen the Gallipoli exhibition by Sir Peter Jackson several times and never tire of how outstanding this is (and moving).
