A wonderful museum portraying the history of Wellington and surrounds. We spent several interesting hours looking over the museum.

Some great exhibits like the Wahine ferry disaster with footage that is heartbreaking, as well as marine themed nautical exhibits and a great historical timeline of recent Wellington. Easy to get through in an hour or two.

An interesting museum. I also enjoyed examining the display of stitchery panels commemorating the petition for women's suffrage.

A great museum for both adults and children. There is a lot to see here and it is also so interesting. Even if you aren’t from Wellington you will find things here to look at. Even the building is a fantastic old wooden building inside.
