I wish I have read Mikha81 first before I book my accommodation.
I am very surprised that there are NO complimentary wifi and bottled drinking water.
The shower facilities are very ordinary. There is no soap holder in the shower. The wash basin is blocked and it seems ages before the waste water drains away.

This is not my preferred hotel in Wellington. That is also an understatement. There is only one hotel that I genuinely enjoy staying at in Wellington, check my other reviews for details. There are so many small things that confirmed my initial impressions of this hotel. As a single female traveling for business, the thing that bothers me the most is not feeling safe. I am well aware that in Wellington, earthquake procedures are a necessary safety element, but having the first thing you see when arriving in the middle of the night is a bare table with a laminated earthquake drill and a fire exit guidance note that, under the heading "alternative exits" says: "there are no other exits" bothered me. It also concerned me that the internal lock on the door did not make a sound and there was no way of knowing whether or not it did anything (the door always opens from the inside of course). Combined with the chain lock which, as far as I am concerned, should not ever be still relied upon in a modern hotel, made me feel really insecure. I could also hear everything happening in the room next door, the hallway and the lift well at all times. The suite contained only a single old wall heater that had little to no effect and definitely did not manage to provide heat through to the bathroom. Housekeeping would always leave the bathroom window open with a view onto the ally below which, when arriving home at night, was both unpleasant due to the view and ensured that the room was freezing. There is an outlet on the wall of the bedroom where a second TV was clearly intended to be mounted but had not been, meaning that if you want to watch TV in the room, you have to be in the living room, however the living room TV is mounted in a space that required you to sit right against an internal wall. It is not possible that the TV placement predated the inclusion of the structural wall and the highly unhelpful positioning still baffles me today. The location, while central is not in a particularly pleasant area and at night there was nobody around. My bedroom window looked out onto a red flickering fluorescent sign. As there is no restaurant onsite, make sure you eat before you get back as there is nothing within a pleasant walking distance. Do not order the continental breakfast, you will not eat any of it other than the cereal. The bathroom is tiny with no bench space and the kitchen is about the size of a standard toilet cubicle. The entire room reminded me of on-campus student accommodation without the atmosphere and substandard heating. The hallways in the guest room floors are tiny and claustrophobic. The internet never worked. Apart from the heating, the location, the uncomfortable furniture and bizarre appliance placement, the overwhelming issue with this hotel is simply that it is incredibly depressing. I worked well into the early morning simply so I did not have to return.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

Very central location. Stayed here on a business trip so arrived later in the day and left fairly early. Were on the 16th floor. Apartment had separate bedroom, lounge was average size, bathroom fairly small but adequate. It was nice and clean. Had no problem with neighbourhood noise, but the wind whistled at night. No restaurant but there are plenty of places within walking distance. Parking is on the street (6pm till 8,30am) or Wilson parking is a 2 min walk and they have negotiated 24 hours ($25) or 48 hours ($50) and you can go in and out as much as you need to. Well priced and suited me for this trip, therefore I would stay here again on business.

Stayed 3 nights in a Studio room on the 1st floor (room 103). Noise levels were terrible, you could hear the lift operating and there was a lot of banging which seemed to be coming from the stairs near our room which seemed to be the fire exit, you could also hear noise from the room above. Noise from the lane way and the clubs around the back could also be heard. The room has been refurbished recently, the bathroom is small and lacks shelf space out-dated stand alone cupboard and chest of draws looked out of place. The room was clean.
Location is good, easy walk down Victoria Street to harbour area and museums but if you want quality sleep then is not the place to stay.

We just had a mother/ daughter short break in Wellington, and were delighted to find ourselves in the best location for us - shopping, weekend markets, theatre, eating and the jewel in the crown Te Papa. And the views! In two directions - out across the harbour, and back across the city lights. Great spot.
