Emily and Tim made our stay in Wellington a pleasant one. They went out of their way to accommodate us with an extra single bed in the room for our toddler and provide blankets to use for our baby's portacot. We always stay at bed and breakfasts as a general rule because we like the personal touch that comes with this style of accommodation. Acorns is one of the best and we will definitely stay again if we return to Wellington. The room is stylish and comfortable and provides all the amenities of home with a small kitchenette and laundry - which is useful when travelling with a young family. Emily's breakfasts were delicious and generous. Emily was even able to accommodate us with a late checkout so that we could drive straight to the airport in time for our midday flight. Emily and Tim go the extra mile to make sure their guests are comfortable. Thanks for making our stay in Wellington carefree.

Acorns is a beautiful little B&B that you wouldn't even know is hidden behind its doors in suburban Wellington. We spent one night here to catch up with friends for the Bledisloe Cup August 2013. Emily left detailed information on where and how to get into the city, which was a godsend as we had no idea. The room itself was everything you could need for a short stay and the heated floor in the bathroom was devine on a cold winters morning. It felt like a home away from home and the freshly baked afghans were delicious. I would definitely recommend Acorns to anyone who wants to stay out of the hustle and bustle of the city and we will definitely love to stay here again.

Acorns is very well deserving of its five star rating. Luxury linens, yummy food and wonderful hosts. The breakfast is absolutely superb, home made muesli (best I have ever tasted). I stay there whenever I visit Wellington. A fantastic place to stay, no parking problems and very very quiet.

Room Tip: Both rooms are great.

Last November, 2012, we spent one night at this delightful B & B before departing for home from the Wellington airport. Acorns is conveniently situated, as it is an easy drive both to the airport and into Wellington. It's in a pretty neighborhood and is a modern, clean facility. The rooms are private, spacious and comfortable. Also, we had a private deck and a great view of the bay. Upon arrival we had some tasty snacks waiting for us in our room, and in the morning Emily provided a delicious breakfast for us in the room (which has a small refrigerator and dining table). Emily was very helpful with any questions that we had. This was a perfect B & B for our last night in New Zealand, and we would highly recommend it.

We spent three nights here to celebrate my husbands birthday. The suite is beautifully set up with plenty of room and everything you could want. The breakfast was superb, beautiful home made muesli, fruit sald, bread and condiments plus baked goodies. Emily was very welcoming and there were excellent suggestions of local restaurants and cafes to visit. All in all a real treat and one we will be keen to repeat.

I stayed in the Pohutukawa Suite for 4 days in early July and I enjoyed my stay, the owners Emily and Tim were just so wonderful and made my stay a warm one. It was a nice suite and had everything you could possibly need for a nice stay.
Emily left wonderful provisions for breakfasts and extra little treats I must say were a nice surprise.
Emily let me know about places to visit and even took me into town when the weather was wet taking me along the coastal road which was breathtaking and then dropping me off at the airport when I flew out of wonderful Wellington.
I would highly recommend Acorns B & B and Seatoun as it is just wonderful and I will definitely be back to stay in the not to distant future.

Thanks Emily and Tim.

Room Tip: NIce and well appointed and very well positioned

We stayed 2 nights in the Pohutukawa suite this past June and it was great! Emily was warm and welcoming even though the weather was dreadful. The room had everything we needed and Acorns was in the best location for what we wanted to do. Emily also provided excellent recommendations for places to eat and visit since the weather was rainy. As our last stop on our trip across the North Island, we couldn't have stayed in a better place.
