“Go For High Tea”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

I went for "High Tea" last week with my daughter and niece - it was a very cool thing to do! We looked at the plates full of "treats" and thought that we would never get through it all. Well guess what - we did! It was all so nice you had to try everything!
Highly recommend it as a lovely thing to do with a girlfriend or two!

“Gorgeous girly high-tea experience”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

We wanted afternoon tea but could only reserve at lunchtime. Two women with two small girls were enthusiastically welcomed and every detail was perfect. Huge choice of teas and a child-friendly option for the little ones. and what delicious nibbles! Everything just as it should be, highly recommended

“Retro Chic!”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

Called in here for a teabreak on a sunny afternoon. There were ladies in straw hats sitting down to a birthday celebration and small girls, also be-hatted, nibbling little treats. I enjoyed a very tasty savory dish with a delicious side salad, a melt-in-the-mouth cake and sipped on perfumed tea served from a china teapot complete with teacosy. Loved the retro crockery and tablecloths, and items for sale such as beaded doilies. The staff were very friendly and obliging. This is a delightful experience for the ladies. Do check it out!

“Those Salted Caramel Macaroons! Yum!”
Reviewed December 26, 2013 via mobile

Wow, what amazing staff! So enthusiastic it puts a smile on your face, especially when the weather was average for a special occasion. Martha's pantry is the best place for high tea, it is above other places I've been to due to for high tea because of the little details - such as serving honey instead of just sugar, having organic teas, refilling the teapot again, having consistent and beautiful teacups and saucers etc, and also having a great value for money - where we ended up being happy with our tummys full by the time we left. We had great conversation with staff - and it's great to be recognised and remembered whenever you go back. Please please please Martha !! Bring back the salted caramel macaroons! They are to die for! :) i don't live in Wellington but my partner does, and these macaroons are so good I had to get my partner to send me one for Christmas from afar, that's how good it is. Can't wait to go back in February for another amazing experience.

“Vintage coffee and tea place at the very end of Cuba Street”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

A very vintage decorated tea room with standard coffees and teas and some homemade blends. They have some sandwiches and scones. We had a rhubarb crumble and it was very nice.
It is definitely worth giving it a look it you are in the neighbourhood. Good also take wait for your turn at opposites Hairdresser Andrew who is an amazing guy....
