We went here for a Christmas work lunch. The service was incredibly slow - it took 2 hours for the mains to come out. I ordered a steak, medium rare. What arrived was a miserable, tough gristly cut of well done cow that looked like it had been sitting around for a week and then nuked to hide the lack of freshness. I've had much better steak in a $5 burger. Very disappointing, especially for the price.

A very Romantic setting, food was tasty and about par with restaurants in this area. The setting was very good. It was at this restaurant that we discovered a NZ Sav Blanc by Jules Taylor, oh please try this wine it is brilliant.
Lovely restaurant, not outstanding, but atmosphere and service makes it a good dining experience.

Having eaten here plenty of times in the past. Never again. Bored staff. Bloody Mary's with old stringy celery, a steak sandwich that was partially raw and cold. The kids burgers were put into ciabatta that was impossible for them to chew through, and the 'petite' salad served with each meal consisted of a half a cherry tomato, and nearly dead lettuce bits (see photo).
Could we be bothered complaining - no. It's as if there's no one in charge and our server was difficult to communicate with as mumbling was the order of the day.

I'm done.

Bacon overcooked, hash browns dripping with fat - difficult to eat. I was not paying so cannot comment on the price, but I hope it was very low. I found it best just to choose the ripe fruit.
