We stayed in a city-side 2bdrm apartment with balcony. The room area was small but fine for 4, large balcony with great view (but no sitting area), comfortable beds, washing machine, microwave....and hotel is in perfect central location. The staff were friendly and helpful, so complaints should be directed at management - 1) broken venetian blinds in one of the bedrooms meant sun pouring in & intense heat first thing in the morning - why not put block out curtains in rooms facing the sun? 2) no extraction fans in the bathroom 3) during our 4 night stay we had to ask for coffee etc to be replenished several times (on day 2, nothing had been replaced), and finally, our apartment had no cooking pans apart from one single pot? This doesnt really make the room self contained. I would only recommend this hotel overall if you were staying for a night in the city and got a good deal on the room rate.

Room Tip: Part of our group stayed on the "courtyard" side and had a carpark view...wanted to leave...

My partner and I suffered a house fire and we lost just about everything. The awesome staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Wellington was busy during valentine's day and the following week but the staff at this hotel managed to accommodate us during this very stressful time. They shifted some people around and upgraded us from a studio room to a 1 bedroom unit for the same price and gave us free parking. The housekeeping staff washed and dried our laundry and made us feel very much like we had a home away from home. Many Many Thanks to John, Tony, Ari and Lene. This hotel is worth their weight in gold and we highly recommend visitors stay here.We can't thank them enough for their hospitality and generosity of spirit. Highly

We had a studio court apartment on the 8th floor. Could not sleep for the 3 nights due to the noise from the adjacent apartments and constant noise echoing through the corridor from 10pm to 3am. No carpets in hallways to deaden the noise. Room also very cljuttered with a large dinning table. No real clothing draws to store items. Stayed in Wellington many time, but never again at this hotel

Room Tip: Do not get a courtyard room.

We had a 1 bedroom apartment facing the street. It was so clean, tidy and modern. Great location, we parked our car when we arrived and didn't use again until it was time to go home, everything was within walking distance and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the gym and pool are top quality and the whole place was perfect.

Room Tip: City facing rooms are the best.

We had a 1 bedroom superior apartment on the 3rd floor facing the street. The apartment was clean and bright. Comfy bed. Great kitchen facilities and even a washer/dryer... Good stuff!!!!

Strange furniture lay out but we moved the couch so we could watch tv and the lovely staff were fine with that.

Yes the street is noisy when the clubbers are walking home drunk but that's a problem anywhere in Wellington :-/ so bring earplugs. Also there's the hustle and bustle during the day... But it's the city.

Great central location. Hubby stayed in an inner room facing too close to another building last time so was hesitant to stay again... But we were both very happy with our city view room.

We come to Wellington each year for a conference and will happily book here again :-) Thanks so much for a happy, friendly, comfortable stay.

This apartment was in a good location for easy access to the main attractions including the Te Papa Museum and waterfront but it could do with a really deep clean and new carpets. It had a large balcony but no outdoor furniture which was a shame as we visited in the summer and would have spent a lot more time on the balcony if there had been even a chair to sit on. The shower was adequate but the hosing falling apart and the toilet brush holder had definitely seen better days! The kitchen was well equipped and generally it was adequate for a 2 night stay but we probable wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed for homegrown weekend as very close to festival and Courtney place. Room much better, studio with single room that included queen bed, fully functional kitchenette. Separate bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and hand basin. Balcony backed onto other rooms. All basics needed as room for sleeping only. No street noise from late night revellers like rooms that overlook city streets. Room serviced, clean and adequate for our needs. Only negatives is room doors slam on every room in hallway, you hear conversations clearly in hallways. Carpet in room a bit grubby.

Parking is extra $20per night.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking city streets not the greatest if you want a good nights sleep.

Thanks for your feedback. Hope you enjoyed the Homegrown concert it was a fantastic weekend. All the courtyard rooms face the rear of the hotel and are perfect if you want a nice quiet room. We will look into that carpet thanks for letting us know.

See you next year.
