A very beautiful restaurant with excellent staff and attention to detail. We celebrated 2 birthdays and the food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. A sommelier looks after your every beverage wish and you basically only had to blink before someone was attending to you. Quite pricey but for a special occasion very well worth it.

If you've experienced five star hotel afternoon teas internationally, this will be a terrible disappointment.

First of all it's stated to be a french afternoon tea and that is their reason for not serving scones. Really scones should be added to the selection as the quantity of food you are provided for the price you are paying is pitiful. You could get a proper main meal at a fine dining restaurant in Wellington for the same price, why deprive yourself here.

Staff had to be flagged down to serve us. Food quality only ok and as mentioned, stingy quantity. Expensive for what you get. Avoid!

Enjoyed a 3 course lunch whilst staying at the hotel, but the hand cut fries ($10)were extremely disappointing.Started with the duck liver, parfait and prosciutto which was awesome!
This was followed by the snapper and scampi dish which was excellent, but very small.
Finished with the extremely decadent chocolate dessert which did not disappoint.
The only drawback were the hand cut fries which were undercooked, greasy and very soggy.Extremely disappointing for a restaurant of this calibre and I'm sure proper 'pomme frites' would be a far better addition to a French menu than the rather disgusting fries I received.
Overall, high quality ,visually stunning food, but stay away from the handcut chips!

Had a great night as part of wellington food on a plate. We had a six course set menu matched with wines from martinbourgh vineyard. Great wine, great food, great venue.

Just wished they had served coffee at the end
