A perfect weekend getaway. Walking distance to town. Rooms well appointed. Clean and comfy beds. We didn't dine here, but preferred the short walk into Tauranga CBD where you are spoiled for choice for great bars and dining. Enjoyed great coffees and a read of the Sunday papers in the Halo restaurant. The 11 am checkout was also a nice additional treat. I would highly recommend Trinity Wharf

We stayed in a room over the water and could not fault the location, the size, the furnishings etc. It was very pleasant even in mid-winter. The reception staff were very good. We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice but not exceptional. The same with breakfast. We opted for the menu, rather than the buffet, so perhaps that was our mistake. The only negative aspect of our stay was that the restaurant staff were a bit over-zealous. A little time to read the Wine List or the Menu would be appreciated, they hovered incessantly, and removed plates before we had both finished, on one occasion reaching across the table to do so. The same thing happened at breakfast - we felt hassled. Apart from that it was all lovely and we wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Room Tip: Pay more for a room over the water - it's worth it - and the view on the city side is better.

I took a one night booking at short notice at this superbly located hotel. From the moment the phone was answered until I checked out this morning the experience was great. I became involved in a conference that was taking place at the hotel, but they still found me a room, and gave me the conference rate. The room I had was large with a super king sized bed, more than sufficient for one person. It was clean and well presented, as were all parts of the hotel I saw. The Halo restaurant on site was very nice, providing a good selection at both lunch and breakfast. Room service dinner was the fastest I have ever experienced! I was impressed with everything about the place.

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, when under Sebel management and now run independently. The rooms are well appointed and the beds comfortable. A good breakfast is available. The hotel now has free Wi-Fi which is great, so make sure u take advantage of that. The front desk were very helpful with photocopying etc. Hotel is in a good central location.

Room Tip: A room with a water view is neat....

A great location on the waterfront.
I've stayed here many times and this visit rates well. The restaurant has a good standard of evening meals and breakfast.

But: when booking ask for the waterside rooms, the rooms on the road side have a busy road and the railway feeding into the port of Tauranga - very noisy.
Otherwise well worth staying here

Hotel was very nice. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Views were great. We stayed in a two bedroom with harbour view and it was stunning and peaceful. Would definitely recommend. Everything is close by and walking distance. Hotel was tidy and clean.

I booked a room at Trinity for valentines day. Hoping to get a nice view I even paid extra for a 'Balcony suite' however our balcony instead of overlooking the ocean, had a beautiful view of a wall and some power generators with a distant view of the car park. Definitely not the romantic holiday I had in mind. The noise from the generators made it hard to sleep, not only that but the walls are paper thin and we could hear the TV next door. At 2am there was a party in the corridor which made sleeping impossible. Would not recommend to anyone with early business meeting the next morning. We were also forced to pay a deposit on arrival which we were not informed of, taking a significant chunk of our spending money which we had not allowed for. However the staff were very nice and extremely helpful and the room was very clean. Room service was good and we were able to leave our bags at reception after checking out. However I would not stay here again.
