We have just had a 3 night stay in a king executive suite on the 8th floor. We arrived and were greeted by a friendly receptionist-check-in was a breeze.
The location of the hotel is superb with shops, cafes and restaurants either at doorstep or a leisurely 5 minute stroll. The girls on reception chatted each time we passed and it made you feel right at home until....
Vicky the mature receptionist came on on Saturday morning- she was obviously unhappy with life and transferred this onto the guests. On Sunday morning she managed to check us out with the only words spoken by her " do you want to charge this to your pre-authorised card".
It was a shame as all the other receptionists and housekeeping staff were worldclass.

Awesome place to stay at very very clean with smily staff. Very nice services with very huge size of room. Fantastic location in the heart of the city center, all cafes, shoppings mall, mix of international restaurants around. Would recommend it for others A++++++++++++

Room Tip: Standard room exactly like executive one except there is no SPA.

Stay 8 nights total in a 3 night stay and a later 5 night stay during our recent vacation to New Zealand. The Devonport Towers is right on the harbor and is located in the city center for easy walking access to restaurants and shopping. Myself, my wife and my daughter stayed in a queen suite and it functioned nicely for us with a microwave, small fridge, electric teapot and a plunger coffee maker. We reserved in advance, with pre-payment and it made the expense a value. Great front desk service and attentive house keeping. Enjoyed our stay there immensely.

Room Tip: The views for hotel rentals seemed all to be "city" facing. The towers are private apartments and monopolize the ocean views. No pool or gym facilities were a downside.

Everything works here on money. Pay them and they will revert back and do as they say don’t question them. This is the way the hotel staff behaves to visitors. Location is good but service poor. From outer side hotel seems amazing and when you go inside its hollow. Nothing to give you as expected

Stayed at the hotel a couple of times. Always been a fabulous stay, the free covered carpark is great for when you arrive. Complimentary glass of wine or juice on arrival and the apples are a nice touch. Rooms are a good size, would recommend a room with the spa bath. Beds are massive and comfortable and overall very clean. Staff were very friendly throughout the stay and pointed us in the direction of some decent places to eat. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
