“Great Hosts”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We went on an organised Wine and Food tasting trip to West Auckland from Tauranga, that Paul and Lyn had organised for our Beefsteak and Burgundy Club.

We had a fantastic weekend, full of exactly the type of wine and food experiences that we were expecting (and even some that we were not), for example we went to a wine aroma experience in the Wynyard Quarter adjacent to the Viaduct Basin, this was a very informative and thought provoking visit.

We came home laden with far too many purchases of the bottled kind, which Paul managed to look after in his bus without any breakages - well done!

“Kumeu Wine Trip - 23/24 March 2013”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

Paul organised our programme for the weekend visiting Vineyards and Saturday evening dinner. Sunday included smelling the different fruits etc good and bad (mould) included. Most of us failed the test. An excellent place to visit if at the Viaduct Basin, Auckland. The most popular Vineyard being Kumeu River which is family run and all wines made from grapes grown in the Kumeu area. Thanks Paul for a wonderful weekend.

Thanks very much for taking the time to write about the trip to Kumeu. We enjoyed Kumeu River Wines too, & their real passion for what they were doing, but were pleased that all the presentations & tastings were a bit different from eachother. We hope you enjoy drinking your purchases!

“Fantastic tour of Rotarua area from Tauranga”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

Paul picked us up at the ship and spent all day with us traveling to Rotarua and back. Many highlights including the Te Puia Cultural village at Rotarua. One of our group chosen as "chief" for the Maori ceremonies so we were right in the front of the ceremony (arranged by Paul). Saw kiwis, both fruit and birds, geysers, waterfalls, beach areas and had a wonderful time. Small group made it easier to work with and had a fabulous time. One of the highlights of our trip to Australia and New Zealand. Paul and Lynn were great to work with pre-tour also by email starting about 8 months before the tour. Would definitely recommend this to all!

“An Experience to Remember at Rotorua”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

Paul collected six of us from our cruise ship shortly after 8am and took us to all the most significant sight seeing highlights as well as those hills and dales some of the normal tour buses do not take as a normal route. We had a great day as Paul was so informative and knowledgeable as well as being able to get us right up front to the Maori Welcome House. One of our friends was chosen to be the "Chief" by the Maori Chief at the ceremony which in itself was a great thrill. We then ventured on to see the mud pools and geysers, taking in all that we had only heard about - we were actually seeing this now. We then went on to have lunch at a lovely seaside cafe and following this we were taken to a Kiwi fruit farm where Paul explained to us how the fruit was grown, farmed and used for various things such as jam, wine, fruit juice etc. We were also able to do some taste testing of these products. Thereafter, we had a lovely drive round the bay with Paul proudly telling us that the beach he was showing us topped any beach in Australia!!! Ok Paul, we'll forgive you this time! A really super day was had by all. If and when we visit again, we shall definitely ask Paul to take us on another tour.

Paul always enjoys showing clients & revisiting what he thinks are the most memorable places in our lovely region. He also really enjoys the good-natured reciprocal banter that he has with many but especially Australian, groups!
Thanks very much for your comments; we're pleased that you enjoyed your tour with us.

“Exceeded our expectations.”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Sue, our driver and guide met us as we got off the Celebrity Cruiseship and we had a most enjoyable day with her as we drove to Rotorua. Sue was very knowledgeable and professional and was able to miss the lines and crowds at every opportunity. With a small group it is so easy to keep together and were were able to hear Sue at all times. Thanks Sue, we would surely refer others to this great tour.
