The night we visited we had attentive, no-nonsense service. A good view of the lake. A family flavour to the place. Amazing desserts.

My husband and I were recently passing through on our way home one night, we didnt want to be on the road late so we didnt have a lot of time but wanted a decent meal and a quick break, we didnt get either of those here! We were seated and the restaurant was quite full, our drinks order was taken quickly after we were seated and as we didnt have a lot of time we ordered a bread starter and our mains straight away, breads came quickly and were very average, certainly not lovely fresh breads and spreads! We then waited 50 mins for our mains to arrive, we had one apology from our waitress who had terrible body odour and were told our meals would be out shortly approx 20 mins before they actually arrived! I ordered the sirloin cooked medium and when it came out it was completely raw and in edible! I ate the mash and prawns which were ok, my hubby's beef fillet was cooked well but meal was small and he left hungry! As the wait for mains was so long i decided to order a cheesecake to takeaway so it would be ready when we were leaving. We then waited for staff to approach us so we could
Mention the steak but no one came over so we decided to pay and leave as we were running out of time due to the long wait for meals, the staff member at the counter was friendly and helpful and when we mentioned the steak she apologised and didnt charge us for that meal. I then asked about the cheesecake which hadn't even been ordered she quickly got one from the kitchen and handed it to me without a fork to eat it with and when i asked for one was told they didnt have takeaway cutlery so was given a teaspoon to take with me, was disappointed with the dessert and for almost $70 left feeling ripped off and hungry, def will not visit here again!!

Nice spot at sunset. The food (try the seafood chowder!) and wine was lovely and not too expensive. its a popular place, can get quite busy.

Definitely eat here. Restaurant was full but we were encouraged by the New Manager to have a wine and wait. Wait wasn’t long and was worth it. Food outstanding and good value. Thank You

“Lucky they have location!”

We had a terrible experience recently at this restaurant. Wait staff were young, friendly but not competent. We had a simple meal involving a cold salad that came on a hot plate and a burger that was quite small and so over-spiced it tasted as if it was turning. It took 45 minutes to get our food even though it was not very busy. (All parking in the area is a 60 minute limit.). Our bill, including one glass of wine, was $51+. When I went to pay the bill the fellow at the register couldn't even operate it. Way over priced food, mediocre service, but the views are terrific. For a much better experience, go a few doors down the street to Dixie Brown. Same wonderful view but way better experience.
