Hotel is very close to the lake, you can easy to walk to the lake and see sunset. Room is clean and big. The staff are nice. But cooking facilities is not very good. you just can make some simple food.

Room Tip: Suggest to select the face lake room.

Great to hear you plan to come back to Taupo again and that you and your family enjoyed your stay. The float plane is an awesome trip to do next time you are in town. Happy travels.

What's the point of providing free Internet connection when it rarely works and is slow. We had two frustrating days of trying to stay connected to the Internet with drop outs and repeatedly having to re-enter the password. Trying to get our emails or Skype was always time consuming when we actually had a connection. The location of the motel is close to the lake and shops and restaurants.
Staff were very helpful. Although we had the suite for the two of us, it is still only a motel and everything is basic motel quality. Our suite was for 4 people but in the living room there was only a sofa for two people.

Room Tip: The suite was good for the two of us but it is still only a motel. Plenty of great restaurants in to...

I was disappointed to read that the efforts that I made on Saturday night to address the internet issues were in vain. I am met with the IT company today to ask that we add further infrastructure to the hotel to ensure this is not a problem in the future. Although this does not address the problem you encountered in the weekend you highlighted a weakest in the current system which I am hopeful we have now addressed.

We stayed in room 27. We had a lovely view of the lake, and took advantage of the spa bath. We went to the buffet that night, but found the food was just warm, and some unlabelled so did'nt try it. The staff were excellent, could'nt be kinder.

Room Tip: The upstairs room facing the lake must have been sound proofed as there was no noise.

Room 27 is on the first floor and is a favourite with quite a few of our regular guests.

We have an innovative new Head Chef at Suncourt and he has introduced menu labels for the buffet dishes that also include specific dietary requirements,e.g gluten and dairy free. We consistently strive to improve and exceed our guests dining experience so your comments are appreciated and your feedback has been passed back to the Head Chef.

Great service, clean large apartments. Great location and view. Get an upstairs room if you can. The view is great in the morning. The room are back far enough off the road, so as you don't get traffic noise. Enjoy a great walk in the morning around the waterfront.

Room Tip: Upstairs is a great view & in the middle Room 20

So pleased that your enjoyed your stay in our One Bedroom Lake Apartment.
I agree that it's an amazing view to wake up to each day and if you visit in winter you can also see the mountains covered in snow. Don't worry, all the rooms have electric blankets and heat pumps...

Clean and tidy. Good value for money . Have stayed several times before and always consistent and friendly service. So would always be our hotel of choice. Easy to find and being centrally located means you can walk into town.

Our family of 4 adults and 2 children stayed at Unit 51, one of the separate cottages at Suncourt. Ample parking right outside the door. 3 bedrooms, (King, Queen, 2 x king singles). The kitchen/lounge area was a good size with family sized fridge too. Double doors off the lounge went to a covered verandah and private grassed area with wooden outdoor table. The cottage had been recently refurbished with new carpet, kitchen, furniture etc...all very fresh ! The pool was 40 metres away...close enough to access, far enough away that we didn't feel overwhelmed by the activity. With 6 people the charge mounts up but overall this is a great family unit.

Room Tip: Separate cottage family units good for 4-6. Units 51 and 52 are the most private.

So glad that your family enjoyed their stay at Suncourt.
The team put in a lot of hard work and effort converting these older style two bedroom units into more modern three bedroom apartments so it's gratifying to hear such positive feedback.
