A short walk from the carpark (two minutes) lets you see the powerful waterfall.

For those with limited mobility, a 10 metre flat walk (or wheel) from the carpark will let you be on an over bridge. From here you have an impressive view of the rapids.

Nothing spectacular but as it's only a very short walk from the carpark it's worth a visit if in the area and have a half hour/hour to spare. Time your visit with the opening of the damn gates which is what makes the falls and is quite pretty to watch.

Never fails to mesmerise it is a true wonder and because of its proximity to Taupo always worth the short deviation of the highway to take a look.

The Huka falls is where waters from Lake Taupo flows out to the sea. The 200, 000 litres per second gush of waters forms such beautiful snow blue foams. It was amazing to see.
I appreciated the lookouts that were built for visitors to enjoy the views of the fall from different points. There was also information panel that share about Huka Falls and its history.
Another great thing about the attraction is that it is free entry for all! There is a donation box at the entrance for visitors to contribute to the maintenance of the precinct.

Great place to stop, stretch your legs, and check out the falls. It is a short walk to see the falls. Longer walk (2 hours according to the sign) to see other attractions in area. Parking, toilets, and gift shop available.
