We loved fishing for, and catching the lovely prawns. But we found that the price was a little steep when not all the tours could be completed in the visit. We ate at the restaurant and found the wait staff very rushed but super polite. Unfortunately, the girl who seated us was quite rude and snappy with us.

Stopped for a late lunch. Two of us ordered a platter to share $49. Was more like a snack box. Two king prawns, two small prawns , 6 pieces of salt and pepper squid, 4 mini veg spring roles, 2 skewers of small prawns, some pate, bread and a bit of salad. Our meals came out so fast it was like they were already prepared waiting to come. Same with desert, ordered then bang out to the table. Meals were. Get them in get them out and get their money. Pity cause would like to recommend as the meal, setting and building were nice.

We had loads of fun with friends and their kids. Walked around tried to catch a prawn or 2 (unsuccessfully I may add) but the kids loved it. Learned about prawns and had lots of photo opportunities.

very nice place but prawns on dishes are smaller than 2 years ago. Pity! the services are still good but the total quality of attraction is reduced.

I have been to The Prawn park many times over the years and was looking forward to this trip. Was very disappointed. We were going to get some prawns but $100 Nz a kilo I thought no way. last time I went about 2 yrs ago its was only $50 ( which now is the price for the 1/2 Kilo. We decided on a mixed platter as it was more about the experience than the meal( we had a late breakfast.) The cost was $50.. we received for that 2 deep fried whole fresh water prawns which didnt have much on it. 2 deep fried prawn tails, 2 cold prawn kebabs ( 6 on each- These were normal supermarket sized prawns) 4 mini and I mean Mini mini spring rolls, a handful of salad which was window dressing and 5 small bits of ciabatta bread and a dish of hummus. This would not of fed a grown man let alone the 4 of us. Service was slack, didn't bring the drinks we requested. Will think twice on taking overseas guests there again.
