Spent five hours here with three kids - did the tour, caught and cooked the prawns, ate the lunch, did the walk with activities. A great day out!

If you have nothing much to do, but enjoy fishing, this is for you. A little expensive if you don't catch, but on the whole is enjoyable.
The fishing hut staff were helpful, suggesting different techniques. The restaurant staff were also helpful offering us different options for cooking our catch. Unfortunately time and budget did not allow us to enjoy their menu, other than the perfectly cooked hot chips. Presented in a tray for takeaway, with sauce AND aioli at no extra cost. Cooked to perfection and delivered with a smile. Most impressive service and quite possibly the best chips we have ever had.

Didn't know what to expect - prawn fishing? The tour was good and gave a good base but the fishing was lots of fun and an hour sped by without thinking. The prawns bite the line regularly and there is always lots action. Probably never do it again but well worth the experience.

What a different thing to do! Yes, entrance s a little steep ($26 per adult) but kids under 5 were free. Our 2 year old thought the fishing was great, and was even provided with a life jacket to keep him safe. In 5 minutes we had caught a prawn (sadly that was all we caught as our children wanted to explore). The tour was ok, there is even a place to cook your catch, and the walk around is great, with a couple of places to picnic and a playground. It can be hard to find places when you are on holiday to entertain toddlers, this is a great spot. Be great for older kids too as they wouldn't mind fishing for more than 5 minutes!

this is great fun for the family, never fished for prawns before and then they cook them for you.
plenty of shade if you go in summer, prawns are various in size .. our largest caught by our daughter was approx' 14cm long.
tasted great with the garlic sauce we chose.
there is half a days outing here, fun and value.
