The reception very courteous on arrival and very helpful with wifi, office hours and meal options.
Room was very good, comfortable with all the required condiments available.
Compendium with all local restaurants and eateries, TV stations and local attractions.
Will use again as the location, walking distance to the shopping region is very handy.
Received an upgrade of room at the lower room price as lower rooms sold out.

Had one bed place but the main problem with the room was the kitchen being too small, no work bench and no where to drain/dry your washing up. No space for a microwave either. Room was a good size and very clean but furnishings are quite dark and dated. Good bed layout for us with small children: with a double in living area and singles in bedroom but bright light from outside shining through front door window meant living area not dark for sleeping. No off switch for outside light so maybe a curtain to pill over the door would be a good idea. Good location and plenty of parking.

Thank you for an excellent overnight stay, We were greeted by a lovely person at reception, the accomodation was excellent, "loved" the spa bath in the big bathroom area, was great to have room to move about, with the best lighting, it was also very very clean. The bedroom was comfortable and also exceptionaly clean with an Oh so comfortable bed for a weary traveller. And Two TV's one in the bedroom and one in the lounge great for us as one wanted sports whilst I lounged in bed after a spa bath. Only one critisism (sorry) The lounge area was uncomfortable as the couch was not comfy or big enough really for two to sit comfortably, and there were only dining hard chairs for anyone else to sit on, the room could have done with some homely comfortable touches as it was a bit severe, e.g maybe a more comfortable couch and maybe an added armchair, maybe a pot plant or something to take away the unwelcome athmosphere it gave me, yet when you walked past that the rest was very inviting, and very comfortable. The on site Thai restaurant which was recommended at signing in did not dissapoint it was good reasonably priced food with very attentive waiting staff, we were impressed with the fact they kept an eye on our water glass, refilling it often and also making sure to ask if everything was OK, their deep fried bananas for desert were sooo yummy.

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room away from roadside noise, there was a price difference of 15.00 which I did...

We stropped one night. The motel staff were friendly and the location is good and handy for a walk into town. It's always a gamble when looking for a one night stop when touring and this motel suited us. I'd stop there again

My husband and I as well as friends of ours have stayed here many times and love it,the people are friendly and the studios and two bedroom suites are very roomy.
Lodge is close to everything in taupo, shops, cafes, restaurants, and of course the lake.
Beds are big and comfortable, very spacious bathroom.
When we in taupo this is the only place we will stay.

This was a real surprise - central to the shops, easy to find, staff that are friendly and obliging, and rooms that will bring you back, spacious, well furnished, real coffee to brew, and even proper ice cubes in the fridge! - and a spa bath that really works. I have stayed in and around Taupo for years and just don't know why I hadn't stumbled on this place before. When I'm next going to Taupo, the Prince Motor Lodge will be at the top of my list to enquire about for vacancies.
