I don't like to be negative about places and its possible this was a one off but even if it wasnt bad enough with the insects in the lettuce - the fact that the manager tried to ignore us ,and then act like she didn't understand us when we tried to say that the bugs had put the children off the entire menu ( as opposed to the salads), closed the deal. We wanted to leave as we were all feeling a bit sick after the insects showed up but she expected us to pay ( we had only just been seated after getting salads when my daughter saw the bugs crawling in her lettuce) so we tried again to explain no one wanted to eat there ,she looked blank. Just to get out we said we would be happy to pay for the wine and soda we had sipped but she charged us for the other drinks we hadn't touched as well. My friend suggested that was unreasonable so she bought out a food container and suggested we put the drinks into it to takeaway. All in all very disappointed and won't bother to try again. For the brave I can say that it's a big space inside the restaurant and very brightly lit ( too light). It was also very hot inside. To their credit the salad( including the bugs) -looked fresh enough although one of the kids who normally loves shrimp said the one she tried tasted horrible and was like rubber. We didn't get a chance to try anything else. Oh - the waitresses that we interacted with were lovely but ultimately the manager ruled the roost!

If you are looking for a cheap all you can eat type experience this offers a great variety of chinese and other foods. Eaten here a few times as the kids enjoy it and the food is reliably good. Friendly service too. Its a busy place, with seating close to each other so not suited to romantic evening out.

Good Value, gold card discount, eat as much or as little as you like. Popular so the food always fresh.

This place seriously needs a makeover. Once you step in, you travel back to 1970s. The buffet is hardly anything to shout about - basic take-out fare with deep fried food, cornstarch-coated veges and oily noodles/rice and a miserable salad bar. And for this, an adult has to pay about $18 which I find a bit dear.

Unless you are really hungry for plates after plates of take-out chinese food, this place is not the REAL chinese restaurant per se. Service wise, the staff are pleasant enough but not very friendly and cheerful. They need better fitting uniforms too, a bit on the sloppy side.

Hello, thanks for the feedback. This place has gotten a new makeover! We moved to 250 Devon Street East so the restaurant is more modern and new now. We have made many new desserts and hot food since 2013. Our uniform and waitstaff has also changed. Hopefully next time you come to our new shop it will be good feedback!

There is a reasonable variey - not a great ambience. Food is ok altho desert options not that appealing. Given that - it is budget priced and you can serve yourself as much as you like.
