An institution in New Plymouth, this place has been exceeding expectations for years. A fantastic building and decor, matched by a menu that is relatively basic French fare, but consistently excellent. A wine list to match. Table service was just great. We were in a party of 8 and no one had a reason to complain. Want to feel great after a special dining experience? Go to L'escargot. And be prepared to pay. Just suck it up and enjoy.
