“Good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2011

I went along to celebrate the birthday of one of my colleagues. We took advantage of the $12 meal. There is a great selection in this range. We were served promptly by a lovley young waitress, Grace. They have a good selection of wines and as the 'sober driver', I really enjoyed the Mango Lasse.

The Duty manager 'Money' ( a name he was given at birth) came over and introduced himself and answered various questions regarding the traditions of some of the Indain food.

We intend dining here on a regular basis, especially knowing that we can have a good meal and a glass of wine etc for just under $20.

“Great lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2011

5 of us had lunch early this month and found the food tasty and the service great. The only advice I would make is that the room temperature was a little chilly for the spring day.

We all enjoyed our lunch--even the vegetarians and food allergy sufferers!

“Take out that excels”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2011

My wife is a great cook so it is hard to get good food when we go out - you gotta believe it! We ordered 3 mains and Nan bread. The person taking the order suggested options for a couple of choices including offering prawns instead of fish in the selected curry sauce as there was no more fish. All dishes came with rice so there was no "extra" expense adding that on. The food was delivered on time and tasted brilliant! This is well worth the visit or like us for takeaways

“Avoid”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2011

I came here for a lunch with a large group. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. To begin with, they have a lunch special that includes a beer, a wine or a soft drink. Several of us didn't want alcohol or a rubbish fizzy drink, and asked if we could either get fruit juice or pay a lesser price. It seems an irresponsible and silly establishment that doesn’t offer a quality alternative to alcohol. The staff not only said no, and they were quite abrupt and rude about it. The thing is, I know for a fact that they have given a discount before, so they were inconsistent as well as rude.

The next problem was that we had all preordered, and yet it took nearly half an hour to get our food out (and we weren't that large a group). Some of us had short lunch hours, so that was inconvenient. Next, those who ordered the chickpea salad were shocked by how bad it was. It was basically a lettuce salad with a few chickpeas at the bottom with a couple of bits of potato. It wouldn't have filled a child, but worse than that, it was described as spicy, when in fact it was bland and tasteless. One of us complained and asked for some more chickpeas, though they just brought a miniature version of the salad, so that was a waste of time.

Even those who weren't caught up in the rudeness or disappointment were annoyed on our colleagues' behalf, so it wasn't a nice experience. This restaurant needs to work on its service because there are a bunch of us who will never go back.
