Always eat at this restaurant every time we go down to Rotorua on Holiday. Has good wholesome food at a reasonable price. Live bands on Saturday night and lovely staff and atmosphere .Warm and inviting on a cold winters day.

Came to Rotorua on a family holiday for my 30th. Once in a blue moon do we get to go out somewhere nice for dinner. So thought we would try this beautiful building and thought they must be good and worth the money. The kids meals were over $13each the cheeseburger was a wholemeal (which most kids dont tend to like) and the patty was burnt. Chicken tenders were tasteless pieces of chicken in breadcrumbs. I ordered the lamb steak which was nice how ever 3/4 of it was a lump of fat i couldnt even cut through. When i told the guy who came to clear our plates his answe was simply (oh was it)??? So for spending in total $87 you get large meals but not good food. for a family with a 3 and 6 year old i was sadly disappointed and will never return nor recommend.

I was told this was the pub to eat at , the bar staff are good the Guinness well poured but the food was terrible the special of the house spare ribs was so tuff you could not pull it off the bone and sauce I am sure was out of a bottle . Handed the plate back to bar staff and they were very good and refunds the cost of the meal ... Good staff but sort your kitchen out .

Very good service and meals. Would recommend this venue to all. The size and the standard of the meal was very good value for money. The service was quick be not too quick as to make you rush. It gave you time to relax and enjoy the surrounding. The drinks were nice and cold and a fresh glass every time. The venue was very clean and tidy. The staff were polite and welcoming. I would recommend them for a venue for all types be it a couple family or a group.

This little pub is steeped in fun history, and they've made it a comfy mid-city hangout. It has indoor and outdoor eating area, in casual seating arrangement. What we really liked was the food and drink selection. There was lots of traditional Kiwi food, and all the local beers. We were traveling with a vegetarian, and he too was catered for here. Prices were reasonable.
