Walking in off the street and being given a table for two right next to the open door with the beautiful summer breezes coming through was good enough but soon surpassed by the food and service. Starting with the palace platter, a large variety of Indian sweet eats and vegetable entrees, we sipped our kingfishers and watched Rotorua walk by on a last Wednesday night. The entree was a delicious blend of tastes and with that out of the way and not really sure if we needed any more, we were served up our chicken korma for my babe and the afghani chicken, which I had never eaten, for me, with a large bowl of basmati rice and naan bread, both cooked to perfection and exploding with flavour. The meal was superb. I'm used to being spoiled by Tulsi and Little India and they dont come close to this. The decor is nothing special but the food, service and relaxed atmosphere that the staff creates is special. A must dine when coming to Rotorua
