“The Annual Passes Are A Must For Locals”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

With Fall in the air and the evenings getting a little brisk it is a perfect way to catch a hot soak and an early meal and head home to snuggle in for the night.

It is a popular place for tourists - so my advise is to avoid the holiday weekends. But definately give it a go!

“Relax!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

Lying in a thermal pool was not for me or so I thought. My wife wanted to come here and as the campervan driver I had no choice. Once there, however, I enjoyed it immensely. The pools are very relaxing (although one spell was ruined by loud, chattering Chinese with no respect for peace and quiet). The pools are at various temperatures and tolerable, although some found the middle pool too hot.
There seems to be good links to the local community. Whilst the café was limited in its range it was fine for a short visit ...and I liked the message ......No WiFi try talking to each other!

“relax and enjoy!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2014

These thermal pools are a short drive out of Rotorua. We went one weekday morning and they were not at all crowded. They are obviously used by locals as well as tourists. There is a choice of pools at different temperatures to relax in. You don't come here to swim but just to sit around and enjoy the experience of bathing in warm thermal waters in a lovely natural environment. The changing facilities are very basic but adequate and the cafe provides essential refreshments, although you can take your own picnic and use the tables provided. The entrance price was very reasonable.

“Surprisingly good....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2014

Some way south of Roturua these pools were surprisingly good. Just $15 each, there is a choice of different pools fed by real geyser activity.
Three relaxation pools and a shallow 'swimming pool'.
We'd had enough after about an hour.
Cafe poor.
There's a small Nature Walk which takes you upstream towards the source and when the steam's not too thick you can get good photos.

“Not only a Swimming Pool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2014

Nice little site with a big swimming pool and various other pools and tubs of different temperatures.
Definitly do the Eco walk and see where hot water comes from. It's worth to book a private pool.
