“No one could see in, but we could see out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

We are so happy to have stumbled across a brochure advertising this hidden gem! It was most definitely worth the short drive out of Rotorua. For just $18 each we had the pleasure of enjoying a private pool for 40min as well as unlimited access to the rest of the thermal pools. A very tranquil and relaxing place in an isolated area.

The private pool had an open wall facing the steamy landscape so no one could see in, but we could see out. Interior was wooden and overall well-designed which provided a good atmosphere. Water temperature was warm but not warm enough for our preference - apparently it could be adjusted manually by us but we were unable to increase the temperature and only make it colder which was not ideal.

Our favourite public pool was one that featured a 'lowered' edge which allowed us to face the untouched landscape on our stomach while remaining covered by water. The water cascaded off the edge similar to a mini-waterfall... hard to explain but you'll know it when you see it and will not regret finding a spot there.

The hottest thermal pool didn't have a natural look as most of the others did - it could be improved by having a natural design as it is a very nice temperature but the atmosphere was not up to the same standard as the other pools.

We don't mean to be critics, this is definitely one of the best places to visit in the region in terms of value and experience. We loved it and will be back!

“Hidden Gem”

A much cleaner, quieter, cheaper and satisfying soak compared to the tourist spots in Rotorua. Worth the drive out of Rotorua.

The water was absolutely beautiful, definately worth going to if you want to get rid of some hard kinks caused by a stressful week. A well recommended place to attend. Service was swift. A must experience
