Service: Friendly and helpfull
Room: Deluxe lakefront double room, well appointed with comfortable double beds and air conditioning.
Location: great location, just a few minutes from the Lake Front and wonderful restaurants. Hotel has an in-house restaurant (available for all meals) and room service. We enjoyed a buffett breakfast (good value for money)
Liked best: accessibility to lake front and shopping area, variety of restaurants within few minutes walk. Late check out at 11.00am
Liked least: Small TV and no mini bar (did provide tea and coffee facilities)

We have great news in the fact that we are currently replacing all of our TV's with wall mounted larger LCD units which will certainly make the room more spacious, and a welcome upgrade. As written in so many reviews we are very proud of our fantastic location

Rooms clean and comfortable with little extras in the ensuite, the double beds were a bonus. TV & channels basic, fridge didn't keep our water chilled, was a pain to access wireless internet down in the lobby, with only a cable 'pay only' connection in the room as an alternative option and the laundry was hard to find (appropriately placed signage may help). Had to guess which floor my room was on, perhaps a little more informative check-in instead of just "name, sign, & payment option". I had to initiate and prompt for information. Overall it covered the basics and a pleasant stay.

We do have great facilities here, comfortable, clean and basic amenities, which are reflected in the room rates. Yes we are currently in negotiations in regards to our internet and Wifi options. Thank you for your comments in regards to the additional signage, I will discuss this with the team.

Ibis Rotorua supplies good quality accomodation and a reasonable price. Only gripe would be the cleaning ladies calling out through the hall way to service the rooms from 8.30am which is too early when you consider it is a 10am check out. Other than that the staff were all friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Close to town, restaurants and lakeside.

On occasion our Room attendants are a bit keen to get into their days duties, but on a positive note, they are trying to be efficient and offer an optimum service. We do get a number of guests requesting early arrival so as soon as guests depart the cleaners are able to access the rooms and get underway. However, thank you for your comments as I do need to continually remind the employees of sleeping guests and being courteous in their approach to noise disruptions.

Was a pleasant stay, nothing wrong with hotel, rooms were a little small, and was over shined by its big brother Novotel, if you want to go in a pool you have to go to the Novotel, didn't have much of an atmosphere, but was a good stay, nice for short term and good value. Wouldn't stay more than 2 nights.

Yes, we are lucky to have our sister property next door, Novotel Rotorua. The pool facilities are a fantastic asset. The team at Ibis continually strives to offer optimum service and provide a clean and tidy environment for all of our guests. Thanks for taking the time to post your review.

The rooms are clean and I enjoyed the double beds at the room. Staff is friendly and the room is very clean as well. One thing almost ruined our experience: the internet is so slow that is shocking. We tried to use the internet at the lobby and it took 7minutes to open a page. We could not use it at all, and if we had to pay for it it would be a big waste of money.
The menu is a bit random on prices: $7 for small chips and $28 for large ones (this is a massive difference). It also mentions that it could be delivered it at your room or pick up at the reception. Not sure why someone would bother going down and pickint it up from the reception, unless they charge to deliver the food for u... I didnt figure out. In any case, i'd stay again for a cheap price on rooms (and would take a 3g with me).

Unfortunately we have been experiencing some issues with our free internet recently, however a specialist has been organised to come to the hotel and carry out a detailed investigation to fix the issue with the speed. I am sorry that this service was not running at an optimum level during your stay. The Ibis Brand does not do delivered rooms service, it is a "Grab it and Go" menu where all orders are to be picked up by the guest. The $28 listed price for the large fries is simply a typing error which is being replaced currently. Thank you for your comments.
