It was dead of winter there and yet the weather was great so it was a delight to walk around and enjoy the well laid out garden area. Very close to the lake so we also got to watch the swans on the lake as well as travel the paths in the garden. The view of the gardens from the viewpoint atop the museum was lovely and yet I could also hear the students playing at the school located near the edge of the gardens. Really a fun juxtaposition of the formal and the laughter of the school. Lots of people with small children and prams in the garden made it a wonderful experience.

We drive in through an impressive gateway and parked near both bubbling mud and steam outcrops contains trees and a mix of hardy plants and near a thermal pool in which to warm one's feet, which 2 of our party did. The gardens also contained the museum and a cafe where we had a snack lunch which was good vale and tasty. Behind the museum was another sulphur lake with plenty of bird life and changing colours - very attractive despite its aroma. An enjoyable morning.

If you don't want to spend much money, then you should come to the government garden. Very beautiful and peaceful. We took many photos and my wife looked beautiful with those flowers in the background.
