We managed to walk around the gardens without more than 2 or 3 people joining us. Getting a photo without people was just great. The birds were fab, small bodies, long legs, big feet, very cute. The gardeners have done a great job, congratulations to their hard work and it was lovely to visit.

Very pretty gardens, well kept, plenty of places to sit and have a picnic. Very friendly people and great views of the lake.

Such a lovely spot - such a shame that Rotorua District Council have seen fit to 'pave' the pathways with loose gravel! Gravel rash anyone?!
My local council, (the Kapiti Coast District Council), has many faults - but at least they consult with the disabled sector before undertaking building and pathway projects.

Being near the end of summer I kind of expected not a lot of colour. The roses were in full bloom and very few showed whilting. The rest of the plants exhibited lots of blooms and many unique New Zealand plants were displayed

Beautiful place to walk around, lovely architecture and the occasional hot steam floating up. Get used to the sulphur smell too.
