We shared a room here with our 2 young daughters during school holidays (2 double beds in the one room). Although THEY loved having us for 'roomies' we would have preferred them in a separate room so they could fall asleep easier and we could watch a movie. Having said that the room was lovely and the beds very comfortable, love the pillow menu!
Highlight was the magical & mysterious vista outside overlooking the geothermal village. Felt like we were in Middle Earth.
The hotel amenities are good. After bungy jumps, jetboat rides, forest walks etc we were in need of a relaxing soak and satisfying dinner so we dined in the restaurant each night after a dip in the pool and bathe in the spa - bliss. Loved the convenience of being able to walk upstairs to bed after. The gym was good too. Empty each day so I had it to myself!
Restaurant staff were lovely, especially the man & lady who seated us at dinner service
Kids menu is not the healthiest, apart from the side salad - we are vegetarian so dont eat hotdogs or nuggets etc. The helpful lady (foreign accent) organised for the chef to prepare a kids sized vege dish us.
All in all - love Rotorua, what a funky town to visit, the kids insist on staying here next time we comeMore
