It is pricey to do but worth it. You go up in a cable car to great views at the top where there is a restaurant (or take a picnic). The luge was lots of fun. We took our 2 year old down with us in the luge (sat in between our legs) and he loved it, also loved the chair lift at the bottom.

Fun place with many activities to try out. We went across on the Skyline and Luge and had a blast.

Service is lacking though - it was our first time there and when we asked the guy a question as we were purchasing tickets, he just looked at us as if we were stupid and when he answered he was abrupt and rude - not impressed.

We also tried to use a 10% coupon on the ride over but he said it wasn't possible since we were purchasing the Gondola/Skyline ride as well as the Luge so this was considered a package and the coupon was only valid for the Gondola so we couldn't use it. We accepted that but when we checked the prices later, the prices for the Luge and Gondola as a "package" would have been the same price if we had purchased it separately. It would've only been a $5 discount so not much anyway but would be good if the staff knew what they were talking about.

Great fun, the kids aged 9 and 11 thought it was awesome. We did the 6 luge family ticket. My wife only wanted to do 2 ! Luckily I changed her mind and she was glad I did. The phrase once is never enough is very apt ! We took a picnic so can't comment on the food but the ice cream was lush. The view from the top over Rotorua is great too. One of our sons had bought some sun glasses with a built in video camera so we recorded the luge run and it came out really well. A good way to remember the fun. The course lasts 3-4 minutes and we found the intermediate the best fun. Not the cheapest few hours but worth it !

We went for the luge ride in Queenstown but this beats it . It was worthwhile and money well spent .

I've been to the luge many times in my life and it never gets old. The relatively good prices get you a gondola ride to great heights and luge rides all the way back down. Great for the family, and for the thrill seekers too. Amazing fun!! The swing is worth doing at least once. The food is average but if you can wait to get back down to the ground you'll have a great time!!
