Owner description: Famous for a reason, Skyline Rotorua is your ticket to an unforgettable holiday. Begin your day with a tranquil Gondola ride up Mt Ngongotaha overlooking Lake Rotorua then wind your way down via the Luge or if you prefer to descend by mountain bike, weave your way through one of the newly created Gravity Park trails. Get the adrenalin pumping even more on the Zoom Zipline and the Sky Swing. Or for a more relaxed approach take a stroll through the stunning nature trails with informative and interactive panels along the way. Left feeling a little peckish? Head to the Food Market Kitchen or the Stratosfare Restaurant & Bar to fuel up again. While you’re there, why not also pop into the Volcanic Hills Wine Tasting Room and Winery while the kids explore the Jelly Belly Gallery and Store. Finish the day with an out-of-this world experience during Skyline’s Stargazing tour. It’ll have you exploring constellations and discovering planets invisible to the naked eye, at one of the top eight stargazing locations in New Zealand. The Skyline Rotorua complex is just 5 minutes’ drive from central Rotorua, sitting atop Mt Ngongotaha providing unsurpassed views of New Zealand’s coolest hot spot. This is an all-weather must do attraction suitable for all ages. Open 365 days a year from 9am to late.

Visited this attraction with my wife in Dec. 2012. It was good, but coming from Canada with really big gondola rides this one is a bit small by comparison. Still, it is a fun thing to do and you get a great view of the town and lake. Taking the go-carts down is a hoot, both my wife & I went 3 times just because it was fun.

Good place to spend an afternoon & have some fun. Kids will love it too.

It's well worth the trip up the Gondoal if you haven't been before, the view is brilliant. It's not quite as good as Queenstown but then the view is more of the Rotorua region and lake.

very professional , very clean and tidy , excellent presentation. From delivery by gondola there is constant care / help at hand; rides on the luge are great for a wide range of ages . All rides are safe and fun . The original attraction has changed over the past few years, some features like a pathway down the hill are no longer used; others like the luge itself has had a second track put in for heavy demand . best time to visit I would suggest is evening - after 6pm . More time / space / less people = same rides / same attraction

Take the gondola up to the top and do the luge and do it lots. Brilliant fun. It might seem expensive but worth every penny.
