“Great view”

For someone who is not a fan of cable cars, it was the best I've been on. Very smooth and great views from the top

“a view to luge for”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

The trip up the gondola gave no clear indication that the view would be so memorable. It was awe inspiring.
We had 2 goes on the luge, which we had asked and "paid" for. The first a family luge ride, gave us 4 rides, we asked for 2 each. The 4 rides was once each. It cost $27. When we tied to have our second ride we were informed we had only paid for 1 ride. Off to the pay booth, where we were charged $36 for our next ride each. Confused, ripped off, unjustifiable, but still fun.
The food was of quite a good standard, and we left feeling very satisfied.

“Luge rides”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

We had a blast as a family on the luge rides. It was expensive at $41.00 usd per person. But we had so much fun, we purchased 3 more runs each for an addition $22.00 per person.

“Still the best thing in Rotorua”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

The luge still good. If we are close to Rotorua then the Skyline is a detour that must be made. 3 or 5 passes down the hill then we head for home. New Jelly bean shop at the summit now with 50 different flavors, so if you need a sugar rush? plan on 1.5 hours for 3 passes or 2 hours for 5 passes. Saw a new sign at the bottom 20 passes that can be shared for $169.00. Might have to spend a day there next time and use them all myself
