“Paradise Valley Wildlife Park”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

Obviously the lion cubs and the chance to pat them is the highlight of this park. The other animals including the enormous eels were great also. Would have enjoyed it more if we had more time.

“Lion cubs just the cutest”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

A very well maintained and presented park with lots of old artifacts and machinery displayed as part of the park, The Lions and cubs would have to be their main attraction and to meet and pat the cubs costs not additional fee, Staff very informative on facts about the animals. Cubs will not be available to the public for contact too much longer but even the feeding time of the pride is worth the visit, At $30 per Adult I think it was good value. Does not have the variety of animals that other Zoos have but still worth a visit, Go early and avoid the masses.

“Pleasantly surprised”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

I was initially pessimistic about visiting this attraction, as there were no cars in the car park and it was quite poorly advertised/sign posted. Infact we only came here to pass time. We visited at around 4:30pm and it was great to be able to wait around without screaming kids getting in the way.

Although there was not a huge amount of different animals there, Paradise Valley is reasonably priced compared to many other attractions in Rotorua. As you may know (if you have read my other reviews from my trip), I didn't pay the full price as I had booked a voucher on GoBook.

The shop sell some food which you are able to feed to the animals - great for the kids! The Lion petting was also something that we wouldn't have been able to do this trip had we not visited here.

“LOVED IT!!!!!”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

This was the highlight of my holiday!!!!! The young guy that feed the lions and took us into the cub enclosure was very professional and answered any questions asked. A real pleasure. I would highly recommend to anyone heading to Rotorua to do this.

“Unfortunately, disapointing”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

Animal park, but where are all the animals. A few goats, two lion cubs, a donkey, lots of wild ducks and lots of trout and some eels is all we saw. Expensive for what is was.
